New CPL Manager to Partner with Faculty on Credit Pathways
UNC Charlotte welcomes Matthieu Castillo as the University’s new Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) Manager. In this role, Matthieu will work closely with faculty to proactively expand Credit for Prior Learning opportunities for current and prospective students.
This fall, Matthieu will focus on formalizing processes for mapping non-credit professional development, industry certifications, and workplace experience to UNC Charlotte course equivalents. These efforts will help reduce time to degree and create more flexible pathways to graduation for Charlotte students.

This initiative builds on the University’s recently updated Credit for Prior Learning and transfer credit policies for undergraduate and graduate students. Additional resources for faculty, staff, and students will be available through Niner Central and the Graduate School in the coming weeks.
