Shanna Coles
A catalyst for change, Shanna Coles leads strategy for product and policy development within Digital & Professional Learning at UNC Charlotte. Working at the intersection of academic innovation, workforce needs, and institutional strategy, she creates new pathways for learners and translates emerging opportunities into scalable programs, policies, and partnerships.
Shanna leads a high-performing team focused on workforce intelligence, strategic plan implementation, credit for prior learning, and microcredentialing. She also works closely with academic partners to shape and develop Charlotte Online programs responsive to the evolving needs of learners, employers, and the region.
A first-generation student and Georgia native, Shanna has earned degrees from Appalachian State University, NC State University, and UNC Charlotte. She has spent nearly 20 years creating educational opportunities for Charlotte learners.
